ABOUT INDIGI HACK 

Youth are a vital part to the continuation of Indigenous languages, so we need to involve youth in projects that aim to empower you to become culture leaders and language speakers.

INDIGI LAB in partnership with UNESCO, CSIRO, Grumpy Sailor and IDX/NCIE will hold a 2-day hackathon (www.INDIGIHACKcom.au) for youth 8-18. Youth compete to develop new app-based technology that aims to revitalise and retain Indigenous languages. INDIGI HACK will be held at the University of Technology in Sydney August 8-9, 2019. The winner hacker will go into an incubator to further develop and refine the product with UTS staff and students.

INDIGI HACK is a 2-day hackathon targeted at Indigenous youth aged 8-18 plus a bootcamp with Google for half a day on the day before to help you set up your tools and resources.

Through INDIGI HACK youth compete to develop new app-based technology that aims to revitalise and retain Indigenous languages.
