Description

The ARC advocates across a number of key human rights areas, instigating and supporting political campaigns, and advocating to highlight human rights abuses of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
We undertake a range of strategies to address these issues, including organising:
• Public rallies, our largest was 2000 strong at the commencement of the new Rudd Labor Government in 2008;
• We hold Public meetings;
• We’ve undertaken Legal Action, we won an anti-discrimination case against Andrew Bolt, a right wing shock jock who vilified fair Aboriginal people, disparaging their right to identify as Aboriginal; and
• International advocacy.
